Brand new part of Animarkt – devised on the basis of Animartk Talks. It is devoted to the animation industry consolidation and development. ANIMARKT BUSINESS has been created to enable networking and encourage cooperation. ANIMARKT pitching competition is open for short puppet animation projects from all over the world. The selection committee will chose 15 projects in development to be presented in front of an international Jury. Pitching sessions will be open to public and among the audience we may expect to find a huge group of representatives of polish and international animation industry.

Registration deadline is 7 August.

Spend a few days with Barry as he leads, firstly, a lively discussion about what is storytelling and particularly how animated stories work, then secondly, he will lead practical exercises to improve your stop motion performance skills. How do schools respond to the needs of stop motion industry? Are there any good practices from professionals studio? Do companies merging and clustering to educate new professionals?
On these questions will try to answer representatives of studios, managers of residency programmes, craftmen and academic teachers.
Among lectures will be Corinne Destombes (Folimage), Denis Walgenwitz (Ciclic), Kasia Gromadzka (Momakin). At the meeting will be presented two unique programmes – Start Motion – the first European education system of stop motion professionals and The Art of Puppet Making – a unique training organized by the Association of Polish Animation Producers in cooperation with Lodz companies – Likaon, Momakin and Toto Studio as well as the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and Lodz Film School. The project is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

The Kite is a short puppet animated film for kids. It talks about the issue of death, but in a simple metaphoric and symbolic way. It tries to explain the fact that none of us are here forever and all living creatures must die, but on the other hand, to show, that someone’s journey doesn’t have to end with death.
